Pepper Steak Sauce

I created this recipe several years ago, and it remains one of my husband's all time favorites. I cook using a little of this and a little of that, so I don't always have exact amounts. I just base it on how many people will be eating.
Mushrooms
Paul Prudholme Poultry seasoning
Red roasted peppers
1 pint whipping cream
green peppercorns
salt & pepper to taste
1. Sauté mushrooms in butter and P. P. Poultry Seasoning. While these are sautéing, put the green peppercorns in a dish and cover with hot water to soak. When almost done, add chopped red roasted peppers. Remove to bowl.
2. Create light brown roux. Add whipping cream. While simmering, add to taste, salt, pepper, seasoning mix. Add crushed peppercorns. (After they've soaking, they're soft to just crush. Or, you can use a mortar and pestle.) Simmer.
3. Add sautéed mushrooms and peppers.
Pour over BBQ's steaks and enjoy!
